AEI and KSK have prepared two projects: one for €2.7 million and another for €3.4 million to assist in the education and employment of young Roma in the region. The projects will be realized in cooperation with the Roma communities. The projects are pilots and they are a part of a bigger project of KSK named Cesta (Road), focusing on Roma integration.

The educational projects consist of several parts, Machalek said, as reported by SITA. The first part is aimed for pre-school children and their parents to teach them basic hygienic habits and to prepare them for school. The second part is for six year-olds to improve their Slovak language skills. The third part, for children from 13 to 15 will prepare them for secondary education or for the labour market.
