M.R. Štefánik Bratislava Airport has announced that the "suspicious landings" of a Boeing 767 that were reported by TV Joj are nothing but standard flights.
"This is a technical stopover, which does not restrict operation of the airport at all," airport spokesperson Dana Madunická informed SITA.
But the flight is not standard, since it only refuels and changes air personnel at the airport.
"The airport is not obliged to list such flights on the arrivals and departures boards," said Madunická.
TV Joj reported Sunday that CIA planes were landing at the airport. At least once a day, a Boeing 767 allegedly lands there. One plane that is registered in the US has been parked at the airport for a long time. Nobody from the airport staff can enter it except one man, an American. It is allegedly a reserve for flights to the Middle East. The plane is registered to an American company, but according to its website, operates only domestic fights. SITA
