FOLLOWING spring floods in Slovakia, mosquitoes are swarming in several areas of Slovakia. The worst situation is in the areas around Bratislava and western Slovakia's Záhorie region.
The affected areas are planning to spray swampy areas to kill the mosquitoes, but are meeting with protests from environmentalists, the SME daily wrote.
All 17 districts of Bratislava were expected to report their most affected areas by the morning of May 10. The worst situation is reported in the district of Devínska Nová Ves.
