According to Economy Minister Ľubomír Jahnátek, there is still great interest among foreign investors in construction of a new nuclear power plant in Slovakia. “Investors are continually asking if matters have advanced in the government,” the economy minister told the SITA newswire after Wednesday's (May 7) regular cabinet session. The cabinet is to decide in the autumn whether the state will finance a new nuclear power plant by itself or whether it will cooperate with private investors. “Today we are clear on at least one point: that in November of this year we would like to define potential partners for this project and by the end of this year, we want the government to officially approve the project for a new plant,” said Jahnátek.
