Cabinet has decided the state will no longer cover the debts of the failed insurance house Perspektiva, which crashed in 1999 leaving Sk 2.27 billion ($48 million) in unpaid bills behind it.
Perspektíva’s clients were taken over by the Všeobecná Zdravotná Poisťovňa insurance firm, from which the BHF financial group extracted over Sk250 million in compensation based on a court order.
Henceforth, Perspektíva’s creditors will only be able to apply for compensation from the firm’s bankruptcy trustees.
