Police report that the European Champions League qualifier in which Chelsea beat Žilina 2:0 passed without incident.
Police spokesperson Radovan Kyselica told the daily SME that only English fans with clean records had been allowed to attend the match.
There had been concerns about violence after a match between England and Slovakia in October 2002 that saw violent clashes between English hooligans and police, a shooting in a Bratislava pub, and racist chants from Slovaks watching the match.
