A PRAGUE prosecutor has charged a Slovak man with murdering a seven-year-old Roma girl living in the Czech republic.
The man, 34, who confessed to the crime on May 25, may end up in jail for up to 15 years. The girl was reported missing a few days before her body was found. She had suffered several potentially lethal blows to her head. The culprit, a multiple offender under a suspended sentence, was a former partner of the girl's grandmother. Although the motive is yet unknown, the grandmother had broken up with and evicted the man from her house only a few days before the dead girl was found.
