PARLIAMENT has finally eliminated a 40-year-old law making it a crime to cast shame on the state or its highest representatives. The law was used last year by President Rudolf Schuster to sue a journalist, Aleš Kratký, for a critical editorial slamming Schuster's state-of-the-nation address.
