THE FAMILIES of the 42 victims of the January 19 air crash of a Slovak military plane in north-eastern Hungary will receive a total of Sk67 million (€1.8 million) in compensation from the state.
The sum does not include widow and orphan benefits to which the families are also entitled. Former Defence Minister Juraj Liška, who resigned over the accident, proposed the maximum reimbursement for the families in his last act as cabinet minister.
