The town of Topoľčany will put off construction of a planned industrial park as a consequence of the economic crisis and its construction will be launched after the crisis fades when there is a better chance to attract investors, the SITA newswire wrote.
The town has prepared 70 hectares of land plots for the industrial zone, divided into three stages. According to Mayor Peter Baláž, progress in the first stage has reached a level where nothing stands in the way of the town acquiring a construction permit.
“We have postponed construction of the planned industrial park which is already prepared in this phase. Its erection will be directly bound to investors,” the mayor told SITA.
He is convinced that after the crisis has dissipated investors will show interest in the zone. In his words, plots designated for the next two stages of the construction process will enable companies to establish themselves in the town for a period of fifteen years after the zone is completed. SITA
