Slovakia will offer Ukraine its experience from integration processes, according to Vážny.

“Nevertheless, Ukraine has its future in its own hands. Slovakia may and will help it, but specific steps have to be taken by Ukrainian authorities,” said Vážny, the TASR reported.

In order to confirm its European direction, Ukraine has to stabilise the situation in the country, said Vážny. He added that Slovakia supports Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, and welcomes its interest in resolving the conflict in Donbas.

Recently media informed that former two-time Slovak prime minister Mikuláš Dzurinda is to become a foreign advisor to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Also Dzurinda’s right hand man, former finance minister Ivan Mikloš has agreed to advise the Ukrainian government in efforts to deregulate their economy and consolidate public finances.
