In 2009, Slovakia took over the presidency of the Decade of Roma Integration. During 2010, Slovakia and other members of the Decade initiative will discuss strategies for improving the education of Roma children, as well as housing, (national and cultural) identity, and conditions for employing Roma. The diplomatic community hopes that this trip will provide a first-hand view of the structure and reality of Roma education in Slovakia.
