Disinformation hunter: Slovakia is in a hybrid war

But it is activists, not the state, that protect people.

Thanks to this man and his website, blbec.online (dullard.online), people can see for themselves how often Smer MP Ľuboš Blaha and ex-police corps president Tibor Gašpar delete their opponents’ comments under their Facebook posts.

Blaha is known for his admiration of Russia. Gašpar was forced to step down over an allegation that he gave an order that journalists should be screened. Gašpar also attacked journalists, as well as the Kuciak case investigators, in his online posts. And conspiracy theories are not unknown to either of them.

blbec.online also monitors the content of extremist websites. Its founder has gone even further and has come up with a tool to help protect Facebook groups against those spreading hatred and conspiracies.

In addition, the programmer has recently finished compiling a book of the comments deleted by Blaha that appeared under his posts. He claims Slovakia is in an information war, in which activists like him protect people, where the state is failing.

He gave an interview to the Sme daily under the condition that his identity remains anonymous.
