During the first stage, Disk will employ 180 more people at its new plant, while a further 220 new jobs will be created after production is expanded, TASR reported.

The company asked the Economy Ministry for a government subsidy to buy modern technology two years ago, but the money was not approved. Disk therefore postponed the construction date of its new plant in Šahy until today. "I think that the expanded level of production in Šahy and the creation of new jobs will now be realistic within three years," said Šahy Mayor Ján Lowy.
