Ingredients: 1kg of sauerkraut, 100g of pork fat, 2 small onions (chopped), 1/2 cup of water, salt, black pepper, sugar to taste.
Preparation: Sauté the onions in hot oil. Melt the pork fat in a large saucepan. Add the sauerkraut, water and the onions. Cook until the sauerkraut is tender. Add salt, pepper and sugar to taste. Substitute the sugar with honey, if desired.
