Fico wants General Prosecutor to investigate rogue journalists

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on September 4 appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate whether Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Minister Viera Tomanová had her privacy invaded by a photographer on August 21 and August 29.

The offenses included the photographer trespassing onto Tomanova's private property.

The Government earlier in the day also approved a resolution that expressed surprise over the fact that neither the Media Council or the Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission has rules on conflicts-of-interest for journalists writing about economic issues. TASR
