Former PM Dzurinda gets Hayek Prize

MIKULÁŠ Dzurinda, the former Slovak prime minister and current chairman of the opposition Slovak Democratic and Christian Union, received the International Friedrich August von Hayek Foundation Prize at a ceremony in Freiburg, Germany on May 13. Dzurinda was awarded the prize for the fundamental reforms carried out in Slovakia during his term in office, enhancing freedoms, building a stable democracy, and eliminating bureaucracy.
