Gazprom to bid for SPP?

The Národna obroda daily paper reports that Alexej Miller, head of the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, told Slovak President Rudolf Schuster last week that the Russian firm would submit a bid for Slovakia’s SPP gas utility by December 10. Other interested buyers of the 49% SPP stake on offer include a consortium of Ruhrgas, Gaz de France and Snam, the German RWE Gas, the American Investor Partners, and three other unknown companies, according to the paper.
