The Gorilla Protest Civil Movement, the organisers of the demonstration, stated in their mass complaint that the police “were misused against defenceless people” in an “unlawful and brutal intervention”.

A first criminal complaint was filed by Štefan Potocký from Kalná nad Hronom, one of the Gorilla Protest organisers, shortly after the March 9 demonstration, claiming that the clashes that day were provoked by the police who were accompanying protesters during their march towards the parliament building.
