Speaker of Slovak Parliament Pavol Paška has said he might reach an agreement with his Hungarian counterpart Katalin Szilli on the "creation of a fertile ground for a common (Slovak-Hungarian) future", the text of which "would not deal with the issues of the past".
Paška also said that the question of revisiting the Beneš Decrees is absolutely unacceptable for the current government. Meanwhile, the ethnic-Hungarian SMK leader Pál Csáky is planning to submit to Parliament a proposal aimed at compensating the victims of the Decrees.
For her part, Szilli, during her visit in Komárno (Nitra region), said that no one from the Hungarian side wishes to reopen the topic. TASR
