THE CRISIS has not worn down Italian company Immegras. The producer of boilers came to Poprad in 2008 and is continuing to expand. The Hospodárske Noviny financial daily reported last November on the firm’s plans to introduce a night shift in its local plant, Immergas Europe, in July.
The company started operating in Slovakia with a turnover of €6 million. In 2012, during which it increased the number of employees from 70 to 120, it planned to exceed €30 million.
The addition of the night shift is linked to a new project of production of monothermal boilers, which should replace production of bithermal boilers. Monothermal boilers bring higher performance due to a different principle of heating. Later, in 2015, Immergas wants to launch in Poprad production of condensation boilers, which have so far only been produced in the company’s plant in Italy.
“Plans are linked with new directives of the European Union to support energy-saving technologies, which will start to gradually become effective in member states during that period of time,” said Leonard Perla, the managing director of Immergas Europe, as quoted by the daily.
