Police have started investigating a Banská Bystrica-based company Pro Content that charged €60 to internet users who clicked on website downloads on portal.sk and basne-portal.sk. After clicking and filling out a questionnaire, they received an invoice, according to the Sme daily.
Thousands have come together and founded a consumers’ association Ombudspot in Poprad that can legally represent all those who suffered damages. Miroslav Antoňak alone managed to collect more than 2,000 signatures and filed a lawsuit.
Mária Faltániová, the spokesperson of the Regional Office of Police Corps in Banská Bystrica announced that an ivestigation has been launched but refused to tell people whether they should pay the sums required.
The Pro Content company was also inspected by the Slovak Commercial Inspection but its management did not appear to explain the whole situation, the daily Sme wrote on its website. The Ombudspot is trying to reach all people who registered on the web sites of Pro Content. Sme
