The far-right-wing party said it had organised the blockade in order to protest against the controversial amendment to Slovakia’s State Language Act, which came into effect on September 1. Jobbik is calling for its immediate cancellation. Party Chairman Gabor Vona visited the Slovak town of Komárom and gave a press conference the same day.
