Juraj Miškov

JURAJ Miškov is the new government’s Economy Minister and was born on April 15, 1973 in Bratislava where he studied at Comenius University’s Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Management. He started his professional career in 1991 as a reporter for Slovak Radio and in 1992 he became a writer for the Smena daily.

Miškov later switched to the advertising business. In 1992 – 1993 he was involved with Randolph, Young & Moore, and in 1993 – 1999 he was a member of board at Burian, Miškov & Partners. Along with two partners Miškov founded in 1999 an advertising agency Miškov-Uličný-Weber (MUW), which since 2004 is part of the international advertising firm Saatchi & Saatchi. Miškov has served as a member of board of MUW Saatchi & Saatchi.

Miškov is a founding member of the Austrian-Slovak Commercial Chamber as well as a member of the BritCham, the British Chamber. He was elected as MP in 2010 from the Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS).

Juraj Miškov is divorced with two children.
