A BRITISH company is planning to set up five companies employing approximately 4,000 employees in eastern Slovakia, the daily SME reported.
British company STB Advanced Technology is planning to start companies there for the research, development and production of cutting edge technologies. The overall investment in the project will be about €1 billion.
As regards employment, the company’s representative in Slovakia, Ján Immer, said: "We will be interested mainly in [employing] high-qualified experts. About 85 percent of our employees will be people with a university education."
The investor is currently deciding between two industrial parks Kechnec near Košice and Záborské near Prešov. The company will need about 50 hectares of land and it wants to start construction of the first company in one-year’s time.
