The private brodcaster TV Markíza has a new general director, as Matthias Settele has replaced Zuzana Ťapáková.

Settele, from Austria, was previously general manager at Turner Nordic and Baltic (now owned by the Carlyle Group), as well as the television and production consultant for a number of supranational television groups including RTL Group, MTG/Viasat Group and the consultant for TV stations such as Austrian public ORF; TV Markíza’s owner, US CME company, informed the TASR newswire on September 25.

“We believe that Matthias’ rich experience in the field of television broadcasting and production will prove beneficial for us,” said CME Executive Director Christoph Mainusch.
