A quake of this size can be felt, but causes only minor damage.

Until February, seismologists have recorded more than 10 localised weak aftershocks since last year’s earthquake in eastern Slovakia (October 9) with a magnitude of 4.9. Most of them have a magnitude of 1 to 1.5.

The quake from last year affected life in 24 villages in eastern Slovakia and caused damage of €16 million. Its epicentre was in Ďapalovce.
