The ministries of health and finance are about to introduce a draft concept of settling the debt incurred by Slovakia's health care facilities.

Health Minister Richard Raši said that they were discussing an optimal form of the new model with representatives of the Finance Ministry. He specified that they would like to avoid the solution introduced by the previous government that set up the state-run joint-stock company Veriteľ, when the declared saving of several billions was almost completely to the detriment of the social security provider Sociálna Poisťovňa.

Raši stated that they want to create a clearly transparent model that will in particular not be a model of debt settlement without any obligations for the future. SITA
