MORE and more so-called “professionals” from the ruling coalition parties are being placed on the management bodies of state companies. The allegations concern the Smer party as well as the Slovak National Party (SNS).
MP Jozef Ďuračka from the SNS reportedly helped his 23-year old daughter Kristína Ďuračková get placed on the board of directors of the Trnavská Teplárenská heating plant in Trnava. Ďuračková has not even finished university yet will be earning about Sk100,000 (€2,660) a month (including bonuses) in the post. She replaced Trnava mayor Štefan Bošnák in the position, the daily Pravda wrote.
“Miss Ďuračková does not have enough experience to decide on important issues for the town,” said Bošnák. According to him “such political nominations are sad.”
Ďuračka said his daughter “is not a stupid girl. She speaks three languages and is about to complete her studies in law.” The MP admitted, however, that it was a political nomination made without competition.
