Police will again question Deputy PM Mária Kadlečíková and state railways firm head Andrej Egyed about six fraudulent promissory notes on the ŽSR railways firm worth $600 million and bearing Egyed’s signature that are said to be in the possession of an Austrian public notary.
Two other companies in Slovakia – telecoms firm ST and gas utility SPP – are fighting their own battles with promissory notes issued either fraudulently or controversially in the firms’ name and now in the hands of third parties.
