MORE than 40 percent of Slovaks consider their living standard to be decreasing while 46.7 of them think that their standard of living remains the same. A majority say they have not been or do not plan to go on vacation this year, according to Polis polling agency.
Just 1.8 percent of surveyed people see their living standard increasing, the SITA newswire reported on September 4.
The survey took the form of phone calls August 20-25 with 1,312 people older than 18 taking part.
Around 74 percent of people responded that they have not gone on vacation and do not plan to this year while 23.9 went on vacation or plan to, according to SITA.
