A motorcade of about 50 honking and flashing cars drove through the streets of Ružomberok in northern Slovakia on February 1 in another of a series of demonstration organised to show displeasure with “Gorilla politicians”, the Sme daily reported.
Sme added that pedestrians also supported the protest, primarily young people with banners that called politicians various names.
The organisers of the Gorilla protests say that they want politicians whose names were mentioned in the so-called Gorilla file to resign their posts. The organisers are also asking parliament to delay the scheduled March 10 parliamentary elections so that people will be able to “pick clean and plausible candidates”.
