The National Security Office (NBÚ) announced that Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda obtained the files on NBÚ head Jan Mojžiš from the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS), the daily SME reported.
SIS spokesman Vladimír Šimko responded that it was a speculative question and refused to give a clear answer.
When trying to have Mojžiš sacked, PM Dzurinda argued that he had received information that strongly justified the move.
The law stipulates that the files on Mojžiš could have been provided only to the NBÚ itself.
