According to MFA Juraj Blanár (Smer), the note was handed to the Belgian ambassador last week.

Justice Minister Boris Susko (Smer) reiterated that if the Belgian authorities fail to deal with discrepancies in the investigation, Slovakia is ready to file an inter-state complaint against Belgium at the European Court of Human Rights.

Chovanec died in February 2018 after being arrested by the Belgian federal police at Charleroi airport and the subsequent controversial actions of police officers. One of them sat on Chovanec for minutes and a female colleague gave a Hitler salute.

Slovakia entered into criminal proceedings as the aggrieved party on March 26, 2021. According to Susko, the Belgian judicial authorities are expected to issue a verdict on the issue in the second half of March.

Business service centres have created one of the most important and stable sectors of the Slovak economy. According to Peter Rusiňák, from the AmCham Business Service Center Forum, this is a 'sector of the future', the potential of which Slovakia has not yet exhausted.

But part of society does not know much about the sector even today.

"This sector 'suffers' from the fact that, unlike the automotive industry, it does not produce nor own any material goods. But you have many nice examples of why this sector is unique," Rusiňák says in an interview.
