THE BUSINESS Alliance of Slovakia (PAS), one of the major association of businesses in the country, elected new board members November 7. Ondrej Smolár, the executive director of the Soitron company, was elected president.
Jaroslav Košťálik from Slovnaft and lawyer Peter Serina were elected deputy presidents. Róbert Kičina retains his post of the PAS executive director.
PAS members have also passed the proposal for the regular activities of the alliance, with their main activities focusing on reviewing and commenting on economic measures discussed by the government, on monitoring of changes of Slovakia’s business environment, and cooperation with the World Economic Forum, which among other things publishes the Global Competitiveness ranking.
