People between the ages of 31 and 40 are in Slovakia's highest-earning age group.
In this age range, those who work in the state sector earn an average of Sk22,000 (€657) a month while employees in the private sector earn an average of Sk33,000 (€985).
This data is from a wage monitor run by the NasePlaty.sk website. The results were compiled in April based on information sent by 4,525 respondents employed in a total of 221 various positions.
NasePlaty.sk specialises in wage monitoring and is run by Jobagent, a job-search website. The project maps Slovakia's labour market and helps people orientate themselves in it.
The April results further show that 63 percent of those who responded to the anonymous questionnaire on the NasePlaty.sk website are employees of local companies or state institutions and earn an average monthly wage of Sk27,000 (€806). Emploign companies who responded to the survey earn an average of Sk36,000 (€1,075) a month and made up 37 percent of respondents.
The average wage of all respondents was Sk30,600 (€913).
