FROM NOVEMBER this year, letter and postcard senders will be allowed to stick their own personalized stamps on their mail.

Slovak Post has decided to introduce a paid service by which individuals will be able to have their own personalized stamps produced within a few days.

The stamps can carry photos of people and pets, and even company headquarters. To order the personalized stamps, interested customers need to fill in an order form that can be found at every post office in the country or on the Internet - at www.pofis.sk - and send it, along with the photos, to a listed address.

A set of 12 personalized stamps costs Sk215 ($5), compared to Sk72 ($1.70) for the same number of regular stamps.
