Peugeot Citroën produces first cars at Trnava plant

THE NEW auto plant of PSA Peugeot Citroën in the western Slovak town of Trnava produced its first 19 cars yesterday, all of the Peugeot 207 model.

This year the new plant plans to produce around 60,000 cars of this model, raising output next year to 240,000, the Pravda daily wrote.

At full production capacity in 2008, the Slovak Peugeot Citroën plant should produce 300,000 vehicles per year.
