The police have published an album of 12 selected missing people from across Slovakia, with a description of each person. This marked the occasion of the International Day of the Disappeared which falls on August 30, the TASR newswire reported.
The list includes two journalists: Miroslav Pejko, who disappeared on March 17, 2015, and Pavol Rýpal, missing since April 22, 2008.
The list also includes Peter Juhász (missing since October 25, 2000), Ľudmila Klementová (missing since October 24, 2014), Asen Almáši (missing since April 6, 2009), Peter Bodnár (missing since September 17, 2004), Pavol Miko (missing since March 14, 2013), Ivan Sýkora (missing since December 2, 2013), Anna Nedzbalová (missing since July 2011), Jozef Timuľák (missing since March 26, 2017), Iveta Kisová (missing since April 25, 2017), and Roman Konečný (missing since September 6, 2017).
At the same time, Slovakia remembered that it has been 30 years since five-year-old Ľuboš Bednár disappeared from the front of his house on August 27. Despite the efforts of the police, no information has arisen to help find him. It is one of the oldest and rarest cases in the history of Czechoslovak criminalistics where the disappearance of a child has not been clarified, TASR reported.
