As of September 19, the price of diesel in Slovakia will drop 60 hellers per litre.
The decline is chiefly a consequence of the long-term decrease in diesel prices on the global market. Petrol prices will not change. Nevertheless, the price of this fuel might decrease next week, too, in the event of favourable development, according to Natankuj.sk.
Following the current price cut, the average price of diesel will go below Sk42.40 (€1.407) per litre. Slovakia last posted a similar figure in early May of this year. After the price drop, average diesel price will be about Sk1.70 (€0.0564) higher per litre than at the beginning of the year. In the same period last year, this fuel was Sk4.40 (€0.1461) cheaper on average per litre.
The price of diesel last changed two weeks ago, while petrol prices changed in late August. In both cases, the prices went down about 30 hellers (€0.01) per litre. SITA
