The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Dukanovic, is paying his first official visit to Slovakia on Monday, January 18 since the country’s declaration of independence from Serbia in 2006, the TASR newswire wrote.
Dukanovic and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico are to assess the level of bilateral relations and scope for fostering political dialogue and strengthening economic cooperation.
Fico is also expected to reassert Slovakia's support for Montenegro's ambitions to join the EU and NATO, TASR wrote. The talks should also address the latest developments in international relations, particularly in the western Balkans. Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic visited Slovakia in July 2007. TASR
