Prime Minister to check tender won by firms with links to SNS chairman

The Public Procurement Office (ÚVO) and the Supreme Audit Office ((NKÚ) will check a tender announced by the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development in which Zamedia and Avocat, companies believed to have close contacts with the chairman of the ruling Slovak National Party (SNS), won 10-year contracts worth Sk3 billion (€99.58 million).

At a meeting of the Coalition Council on November 24, Prime Minister Robert Fico talked with the offices’ chairmen about the issue, and annouced afterwards that they would look into it. SITA
