Pro-Russian group urges supporters to prepare for a nationwide “cleansing”

Brat za brata also advocates for Slovakia’s withdrawal from the EU.

A pro-Russian biker group, Brat za brata (Brother for Brother), with direct ties to the Russian state, has announced its most radical plans yet. Last week, the group urged its supporters to establish “cells” across Slovakia.

“The cleansing of Slovakia is coming. Every region, district, city, village. Let us know where you’re from, and we’ll contact you,” the group declared on social media.

The group’s leader, Matúš Alexa, simultaneously appeared on Russia’s state-controlled Rossiya 1, where he announced a campaign for Slovakia’s withdrawal from the European Union.

“At the request of Slovaks, we’ve prepared a petition with lawyers to exit the EU,” Alexa told Russian propagandists.
