The Supreme Court has ruled that a breakaway faction of the far-right opposition Slovak National Party, calling itself the Real Slovak National Party (PSNS), be barred from registering its name.
The decision complicates upcoming regional elections where the PSNS has fielded many candidates and taken election commission seats under party leader Ján Slota. Slota over the past year has led a bitter fight with Slovak national party leader Anna Malíková.
