THE OFFICE head of the National Security Office (NBÚ), Juraj Puchý, was recalled from his post on April 25 by director Aurel Ugor without a specified reason.
Puchý will be replaced by Miroslav Brvnišťan, the private news agency SITA wrote.
Puchý had worked at the NBÚ since it was founded in 2001, part of the time under the former head, Ján Mojžiš.
Mojžiš, who was fired from the job last autumn, told the Slovak daily SME that he suspected recent lay-offs were politically motivated, a claim that Ugor rejected.
