A FLASH estimate of the Slovak Statistics Office shows Q1 real gross domestic product(GDP) growth in Slovakia at 6.3 percent. In current prices, the GDP growth was 8.6 percent.
In the first three months of the year, Slovakia created a GDP amounting to Sk368.8 billion.
Updated results will be published on June 8, 2006.
According to Marek Gábriš, an analyst with ČSOB bank, increased prodution in new car manufacturing plants in Slovakia, continued investments suported by the accesibility of loans and an increase in real wages may push GDP growth up to 6.5 percent this year, Pravda wrote.
