Investigators into illegal phone-tapping of journalists earlier this year by members of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) have already been intimidated, just two days after the case was re-opened, according to the daily Pravda.
Sources close to the investigators have said that the harassment has been through the investigators’ mobile phones. Similar claims were made regarding the previous investigation.
The phone-tapping scandal was one of the factors leading to former SIS Vladimír Mitro losing his post earlier this year. The initial investigation was unable to place the blame on specific members of the secret service.
