Skiing at Štrbské Pleso at peak times is a sad and expensive joke.
Regardless of how many lifts are open and how many people turn up, the ticket windows remain open, selling worthless lift tickets at exorbitant prices.
Until the management implements capacity controls and realises that people would be willing to pay more in return for a guaranteed cap on the number of people around them, Štrbské Pleso will never fulfil its potential. It will remain an unpleasant money pit, further damaging Slovakia's reputation with each passing season.
