Having lived in three different US cities with major military bases I can tell you that here in America, military bases, without exception, mean more crime, more environmental degradation, more drugs, and so on.
Having lived in Germany for a couple of years under the shadow of a mid-sized base, I can also say that for almost all communities involved, the financial gain was not worth it.
The Slovak Republic would do well to consider this issue very carefully. A bunch of uneducated Americans do not necessarily make good neighbours.
