Reader Feedback: Fascist rally reporting unbalanced

Font size: A - | A +

Although I am no lover of skinheads, this piece reeks of bias ["Fascist rally broken up by police", by Deirdre Tynan and Zuzana Habšudová, Vol. 7 Issue 38, October 8 - 14].

How about attacking the police action as one that denied these people their right to free association? Don't skinheads have the right to free speech too? Good luck running a newspaper in a country without civil liberties!

Is it first the skinheads, then the nationalists, then the conservatives, then finally those that the state finds "inconvenient"? Let's please remember what happened in Ukraine (1919-1922), when the Bolsheviks starved seven million people.

I doubt these skinheads believe things (when it comes to racial issues) that are all that different from what the majority of Slovaks think.
